Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorner) return for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” the second of three movies in The Hunger Games series based on books by Suzanne Collins.
Katniss Everdeen thought the worst was over when she and Peeta survived the Hunger Games. Their unusual victory sparked a rebellion, though, and Katniss is targeted by the Capital to be controlled or killed. She is rematched against winners from previous Hunger Games. “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” explores the finer points of the human condition and what one is willing to do in order to protect the ones they love. But more than that, it asks how far you’re willing to go to change what you know for what is right.
